Irina Valentino, Mind Wellness Consultant: Help with Depression

“Life will bring you pain all by itself. Your responsibility is to create joy.”  Milton Erickson

The good news about depression – you are not alone.

Just reading news, statistics on depression and thinking about the amount of anti-depressants prescribed in the UK could be disheartening. Media primary focus is on how terrible things are – Pill-popping Britain: UK takes more anti-depressants than almost all of Europe (Daily Mail).

Depression is looking at the past and present and wanting things to be different. It is the ability to put your focus and your attention on the unwanted events and circumstances. It could also be a combination of a very strong desire with firm beliefs in a reason why that desire cannot happen.

At your very first session with Irina Valentino you will learn to reach out for relief, to begin shifting your focus to better and better feeling thoughts. You will change your beliefs that kept you depressed, beliefs are only the thoughts you kept thinking. You will put your undivided attention on what feels good to you now and how would you rather feel, instead of giving energy to what you are trying to break out from. trolls

“Happiness is inside of all of us. Sometimes you just need someone to help you find it.”   Trolls

It is never your fault that you experience depression. It could be that you’ve picked up the unhelpful way of thinking from your parents. Or some dramatic painful life circumstances may contributed to the negative thought patterns. You always do the best you can in the situations you are with the awareness you have.

Depression is not your fault, however it is important to understand that you are creating it by the way you think, it is your attitude to life. Once you take responsibility for the way you think and consequently feel, it is then easier to make the desired and lasting change.

Thoughts create feelings or emotions.

You are the one who is doing the thinking.

You can choose your thoughts deliberately.

In order to improve the way you feel give your deliberate attention to things that make you feel a little bit better now.

Some people take unti-depressants for years and they still don’t have the positive answer to the simple question, “Are you getting the result you were looking for when you first started?”

Take a deep breath now in and out – life is supposed to feel good to you. It may hard to believe now but it is possible for you  to feel happy about yourself and about your life. You can love yourself with no conditions attached and have more fun in life.

Book your appointment and watch your life change.

“It’s a little like magic! I came to Irina hopelessly despondent and after the 1st session I felt like I could smile again. Frankly I felt a bit ridiculous like I needed to keep it to myself. I still can’t quite believe it…” Steven

In just a few sessions you could go from feeling powerlessness, fear, depression, despair, anxiety to confidence, joy, appreciation, happiness, enthusiasm – the natural human state, where there is no resistance, just the alignment with the core of who you truly are. More than that, the change happens after the first/second session and then we reinforce the new state, making the new neuro-logical connections in the brain habitual.

“There have been several life changes over the past few weeks. I am feeling a great deal more relaxed. My motivation has vastly improved to how I was a month or so ago. I am feeling very much more sociable and outgoing. I am now very positive – if almost seems as though I was a completely different person with negative thoughts & not enjoying life at all.” – Gina, was off work for over 8 months with depression until she’s learnt and discovered that she has the power within to bring herself into alignment with her natural wellbeing.

A note to yourself: “This too shall pass. Nothing is wrong with me. I shall not push too hard against the current. Life will get better for me. I should take it easy today. Feeling good is my birthright, it’s mine as soon as I release the resistance. Now is the best time for me to take a good care of myself. I feel a little better already. I am doing well.”
