“What the ego doesn’t want is to see is that our pain doesn’t come from the love we weren’t given in the past, but from the love we ourselves aren’t giving in the present… We don’t get to the light through endless investigation of the darkness. After a certain point, the discussion always becomes circular. The only way to the light is through entering the light.” – Marianne Williamson

Are You Not Enjoying the Festive Season?

Are You Yeady for Change?

It is the time of the year when we constantly hear, “It’s gone too quick!”

At the end of the year we tend to look back and reflect on the progress we hoped to make in a year.

Falling in love, getting married, having a baby, recovering from an illness, enjoying a new job, promotion or a great financial gain are normally the criteria that make people pleased with the year that is currently on its way out.

The rest of the population may not feel that satisfied with their achievements. Those who have experienced massive loss, break-up or even no desired change for the better, often struggle during this ‘wonderful time of the year’. I sometimes hear ‘I hate Christmas!’ statements from my new clients.

It may seem not easy and yet the better you take control over your emotions, the sooner you start creating the better feeling thoughts. As an inevitable consequence of that, reality will catch up and you’ll find yourself enjoying life again.

“As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being.” – Carl Jung

There is a way that you can choose to raise yourself up from powerlessness, fear, depression to hopefulness, enthusiasm, trust, empowerment, joy, freedom.

Improve Your Experience of the Year 2013 Technique

Write down 13 good things that happened to you in 2013. It could be something as little as a thank-you note from a neighbour. Digging positive answers from your memory will raise your feel-good factor. When you finish your list, give yourself a break – and then return to write a follow-up list of another 13 good things that happened to you in 2013. Make sure to include your own acts of kindness to other people! These could be little deeds that you would have forgotten about if you did not specifically bring them forward in your mind. Look though your list and choose 7 people to acknowledge how important their deed was for you and how grateful you are for that. Contact these people straight away.

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, and confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” – Melody Beattie

Feel free to keep adding to your list daily.

“Happiness cannot be travelled to, owned, earned, worn, or consumed.  Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.” – Denis Waitley

Now you are in the state of being ready to create a greater 2014 than it might have been without your appreciation of the previous year.

“What day is it?” – asked Pooh. “It’s today,” squeaked Piglet. “My favorite day,” – said Pooh

All our experiences made us the people we are today. Each day is important. Each year is valuable. We must embrace ALL experiences and see ourselves through the eyes of Source, always loved.

“It is as easy to create a castle as it is a button. It’s just a matter of whether you’re focused on a castle or a button.” – Abraham Hicks

Upgrade Your Experience in the Year 2014

Write down 14 wonderful things you would be over the moon to create in all areas of your life and qualities you would greatly benefit from in 2014.  Highlight three points that resonate with you most. Hang these goals in a place where you can see them daily. Believe that they are possible; see them as if they have already happened! Feel the excitement you will feel when you have brought them into your physical reality.

You already have everything in you to enjoy the journey to which you have just upgraded. Be kind to yourself. Have fun on the way, the destination will be the bonus!

“We come from another world, a home beyond this one that is always calling us to return. We get home not by leaving this earth but by changing our mind about its purpose: knowing that we ARE love, and we are here to love. That recognition is enlightenment.” – Marianne Williamson

There is a Better Way to Deal with Depression than Taking Hips of Anti-Depressants

Photo Dorothea Lange

My hair moves when I read statistics on depression and the amount of andi-depressants prescribed in the UK.

This article is a response to Pill-popping Britain: UK takes more anti-depressants than almost all of Europe (Daily Mail 21 November 2013)

“Look at situations from all angles, and you will become more open.” – Dalai Lama

In only 3-5 sessions my clients go from powerlessness, fear, depression, despair, anxiety to confidence, joy, appreciation, happiness, enthusiasm – the natural human state, where there is no resistance, just the alignment with the core of who they truly are. More than that, the change happens after the first/second session and then we reinforce the new state, making the new neuro-logical connections in the brain habitual.

Some people take unti-depressions for years and they still don’t have the positive answer to the simple question, “Are you getting the result you were looking for when you first started?”

Take a deep breath now in and out – life is supposed to feel good to you. You deserve to feel happy about yourself and about your life, otherwise at the end of your journey you might be dissapointed with the answer to your own question, “What if I could do better than that?” Book your appointment and watch your life change.

“It’s a little like magic! I came to Irina hopelessly despondent and after the 1st session I felt like I could smile again. Frankly I felt a bit ridiculous like I needed to keep it to myself. I still can’t quite believe it…” – Steven G, teacher

Banish the winter blues

As featured in Your Healthy Living Magazine, November 2013 issue

Your Experts – Mind Matters

Certain therapies such as Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Energy Field Therapy may also help to combat the winter blues by changing your thought patterns from a negative to a more positive state. Irina Valentino, a clinical hypnotherapist and NLP Master practitioner ( treats many clients for depression and winter blues.

She suggests the “Feel Good for No Reason” self-technique. She says: “Close your eyes and think of something that makes you feel really good. Then double the good feeling and make it bigger.

Multiply your feeling to spread out into each cell of your body. Give it a colour and radiate it around the room. Repeat the exercise three times a day until you feel good about yourself and about your life most of the time.”

Close your eyes and imagine biting a lemon.  Do you recognise of your mouth watering? Consciously you know that there is no lemon. Subconscious mind, however, does not recognise the difference between the reality and the conceivable reality.

Consider Hypnosis – a straight forward way of communicating with your subconscious mind and yet it’s incredibly effective.

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” – Carl Jung

Conscious Mind vs Subconscious Mind

Subconscious mind is much larger than your conscious mind. It runs your body without you consciously giving orders for your heart to beat, for your blood to circulate and for your kidneys to excrete urine. It is where your long term memories, beliefs, habits, intuition, creativity, automatic body functions and emotions are stored.  Conscious mind is responsible for planning, will power, critical thinking, short term memories, decisions and all actions that are performed while you are conscious.  Most of our behaviour is governed by the subconscious mind.

Focus and pay attention to your breathing for a moment. Now your conscious mind is controlling your breathing, you can consciously fasten, slow down and deepen your breaths. When you let go of your focus your subconscious mind will takeover again.

Is your problem that you take yourself everywhere you go? Are your have depression thoughts looping between your ears again and again? Do you allow self destroying habits take over your life? Do you spend more time in fear than in love?

Hypnosis is an effective way to access and alter the programs your mind unconsciously run that are not helpful any more: useless habits, addictions, irrational fear, debilitating emotions. Hypnosis will help you to align conscious and subconscious minds to bring the desired positive change.

Session by session you will also notice that your confidence is improved and you enjoy your life much more.

What is phobia, where it comes from and why one irrationally gets unreasonably anxious, avoiding activities that in the past could be a norm? What can be done to enjoy life to the full again?

Where Phobia is Formed

All phobias are linked to place in the brain called the Amygdala. Phobias could be so debilitating that my clients sometimes make a joke, “Can you do a surgery on my brain, I don’t want this part anymore.” Amygdala’s purpose is to keep us alive, alerting us to threats, helping to survive. Traumatic memories get encoded in that “almond shaped” mass of nuclei, not only recognising ceratin stimuli or cues as dangerous, but also plays a role in the storage of threatening stimuli to the memory.

The amygdala receives information directly from the sensory modalities (or representational systems  in Neuro-Linguistic Programming) that humans use to process the external world. Three of our five animal senses dominate mental processing in Western culture:

1)    visual – sight, mental imagery, meaning itself

2)    auditory – sound, rhythm, speech, dialog, silence

3)    kinesthetic – movement, balance, feelings in the body, temperature, pressure, texture, and emotion  .

Two other senses are gustatory (taste) and olfactory (smell) appear less often in mental processing and memory.

When the gathered information comes together, or converge, in the amygdala, it then creates the  output to all the systems involved in the emotional reactivity. So, when you encounter sudden danger, you might freeze, your blood pressure and heart rate begin to rise, stress hormones are released, all of these things happen as a result of outputs of the amygdala.

The 10 most commonly reported phobias in the UK, according to a survey by Anxiety UK, are:

  • social phobia: fear of interacting with other people
  • agoraphobia: fear of open public spaces
  • emetophobia: fear of vomiting
  • erythrophobia: fear of blushing
  • driving phobia: fear of driving
  • hypochondria: fear of illness
  • aerophobia: fear of flying
  • arachnophobia: fear of spiders
  • zoophobia: fear of animals
  • claustrophobia: fear of confined spaces

Professor Isaac Marks of King’s College London Institute of Psychiatry  states, “Phobia a disabling condition that affects about 8% of the UK population at some point in their lives.”

How Phobia is Created

Primarily, a phobia (emotional trauma) is created during an emotionally charged event.

It requires four components for a moment to become activated (traumatised):

1) The event itself i.e. a terrible experience

2) Meaning of the event i.e. having a deep attachment to the outcome “I may die”

3) Landscape of the brain must be susceptible i.e. frightened

4) The moment must feel inescapable.

These 4 components occurring simultaneously create an encoding moment.

Phobia, the response, produced by the amydgala in brain has only one objective: to flee or defend against a fearful object or situation, protecting and keeping us safe.

Phobias vary in severity among human beings. Some people can simply avoid the subject of their fear and suffer relatively mild anxiety over that fear. Others suffer full-fledged panic attacks with all the associated disabling symptoms. Most individuals understand that they are suffering from an irrational fear, but feel powerless to override their panic reaction, often noticing that it gets worse.

Help with Phobia, Fear and Panic Attacks in Norwich, UK or worldwide via Skype

Several therapies and techniques have been developednto create a change from an emotional discomfort or a traumatic disorder to wellness. Approved by NHS, the longest and least effective one is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT. That talking therapy slowly and gradually exposes the patient to the actual, feared stimulus.

In my private practice I use a combination of modern rapid change techniques such as Time Line Therapy™, Thought Field Therapy (TFT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Eye Movement Integration™ and Hypnotherapy. Phobia can be resolved in a few sessions without requiring clients to actively relive a haunting fearful memory.

Hypnotherapy for Fear and Phobia

The overall process involves discovering the initial emotional event that created the traumatisation and stimulating the disruption of the encoded memory. Combining the patterns of reassurance, dissociation, kinesthetic touch, tapping on the end points of the body’s energy meridians, rotating eyes to access recorded information in all its multisensory I lead the client to integrating and resolving the distressing experiences, reducing the intensity of an emotion, eliminating unwanted responses, anchoring positive feelings and then though hypnosis establishing calm and enjoyable relaxation until the remaining negative emotions fully dissolve. As a result of that process phobia cannot be retained as an emotional trauma but only as a simple memory without an emotional charge to it.

The efficacy and rapidity of these modern based on ancient wisdom techniques derives from our ability to help the mind do precisely what it was designed to do: heal itself using its own limitless inner resources.

Life is supposed to feel good to you and you have the incredible power within you to overcome any limiting conditioning that is holding you back from living your heart’s desires.

Hypnotherapy for Trouble Sleeping | Self Hyphosis for Sleep

Sometimes busy minds with their loopy thoughts give us troubles and sleepless nights. Hypnotherapy is one of the most effective ways to overcome insomnia, sleep deprivation and any sleep problems. It is natural, with no side effects process. Hypnosis allows you to relax, let go of anxious thoughts and prepare body for sleep.

If you find yourself having racing thoughts patters when you rather enjoy a nice deep sleep I would suggest you to try out Mindful Self Hypnosis method.

Notice the comfort and the warmth of your bed. Draw your attention to your body positioning. Feel really relaxed, secure and cosy. Close your eyes and enjoy long deep breaths. Allow yourself  to take pleasure in, there is no rush.

Say in your mind 3 times “I see what I see, I’m seeing what I see and I see what I’m seeing”

Say in your mind 3 times “I hear what I hear, I’m hearing what I hear and I hear what I’m hearing”

Say in your mind 3 times “I feel what I feel, I’m feeling what I feel and I feel what I’m feeling”

Say in your mind 3 times “I think what I think, I’m thinking what I think and I think what I’m thinking”

Say in your mind 3 times “I experience what I experience, I’m experiencing what I experience and I experience what I’m experiencing”

Cycle back through steps until you experience beginning of an altered state (relaxation, trance, drifting, feeling light)

Remember another good old and powerful way: When I’m worried and I can’t sleep I count my blessings…

Enjoy your sleep and have sweet dreams. In the morning you might notice how refreshed you are. Say thank you to your mind and to your body, and have a good day. Take it easy on yourself, you never get it done and never get it wrong…

Recently, I had a pain in my knees. It was a chronic, not an acute pain, so it didn’t disturb me too much. Except for this nagging thought, “will an operation be inevitable in the future?”

A good friend of mine Jane Aldiss is the Best Yoga Teacher on planet Earth. I mentioned to her, “It’s not like I am struggling. I just sometimes wake up at night, being conscious of my knees. The biggest disappointment to me is that wearing high heels has no appeal. I think it’s my flat feet that cause this trouble.”
A few days later, Jane invited me to put my sexy yoga outfit on. I was gently and assertively taught how to stretch the muscles, position my feet and even how to walk differently to shift the physical problem that I’ve created in the last years. That was six months ago. The pain left a few days after the session. What surprises me most is that when taking my first steps each morning, I still remember the feet positions Jane advised on. Jane gets the same results for clients with bad backs. I am an eye witness to that. Simply a genius approach!

When my clients stroll into my therapy room and sit down in the hypnotherapy chair, they normally breathe shallow, with the weight of the whole world crushing their head. Evidence of depression, anxiety, fears, IBS, sleeping and eating disorders are exposed in their 1st session. Clients often cry as they narrate their bio. It’s almost impossible to see the solution with the same mind and awareness that creates our problems. We all need a hand from time to get unknotted and liberate ourselves.
Like Jane attends to my physical body, I show my clients a different way of positioning their attention: thinking is focused; imagination is stretched; energy vibrations are raised to new heights; new habits are created. The result: personal success translating to a colourful future.
As was the case with my knees- no medication, no operation required.

“There is a powerful driving force inside every human being that, once unleashed, can make any vision, dream, or desire a reality.” – Anthony Robbins

After a few sessions people uncover and put to use the most powerful resources they already possess: courage, faith, determination, passion and drive. Clients go on to celebrate life at the deepest level.
They don’t really change the core of who they are; in so much as they become MORE of who they are. Once clients have expanded their thinking they are permanently liberated. The impossible becomes everyday life. It starts with stretching and shifting your focus.

Very recently I observed a street game between a 4-5 year old gorgeous, curly blonde daughter and her mother.

Mum was saying “You are stupid” whilst gently smacking the little girl’s bottom. The girl was laughing hysterically.  Mum repeated “You are stupid”, smacking the girl again and again and laughing with her.

Yes, by all means, it could be worse. Mum could be kicking her child while shouting, “You are stupid”.

On this occasion it was light hearted but at the time of witnessing this I thought,  “wow, what a powerful anchor is being created now that will affect the girl’s life.

How long will it take before the curly blonde locked girl, becoming a young woman or even an elderly lady, will unlearn the statement embedded in her subconscious mind when she was four? At a certain age she even might become aware that she is a source of light manifested in the flesh to experience the illusion of separation: its humanness, the rainbow of emotions, then to return back to her original source.
You Are Enough” is a message that speaker and author Gary King is passionately spreading around the world.  The message is to help young people and adults stop judging themselves based on what they have been told by their parents, teaches, peers’ expectations and status quo. With the veil removed they can see themselves as who they already are.
Who you truly are is nothing to do with your marks, achievements and results. You are already enough. You are unique and special in your own way.

“We are all one Energy Stream, but what makes the separations or distinguishes the differences is perspective. You are a unique and individual perspective.”– Abraham Hicks

Already, you are magnificent; you are a perfect creation, based on your beliefs, of God, Allah, Buddha or the Universe. In addition you can make peace with your past and present; practise proven strategies for good health and great relationships; mould or sharpen business skills.  These evolutions will transform your life no matter where you are. Your past does not equal your future. There is nothing you cannot be or do or have. However, in this moment of imaginary time you are just perfect anyway.
Gary King had a series of intriguing and successful careers and at the same time experienced multiple grief:   guilt over the estrangement from his father; failed marital and personal relationships; cancer; having his daughter taken from him, only to realise through a paternity test that he was not her father; the death of a five year old boy whom he hit with his vehicle after the boy had ran from his mother crossing a busy street; the suicide of his own son.

It took Gary King over 60 years, over 25 horrific life events to become aware of the importance of dealing with childhood traumas. Forgiving your parents and people who might have hurt you is the key to moving on and creating a brighter future.

You need to be FREE from emotions of guilt, anger and unworthiness. You are a vibrating energy form, spiritual creation that had the courage to come into this physical world to create earthy experiences. You are not a human that has an occasional spiritual experience.

You are a spirit that is having this human experience by focusing your energy: observing, distorting, deleting billions of information flooded through your senses; the ability to see, hear, smell, taste and touch it all.Your focus and your emotions create your reality the way it is. Each and every moment helps you to become who you ultimately are. You will never get ‘there’ and you will never get it done. The joy is in the journey.

You have never been cut off; you are and always will remain one with the highest vibrating energy source. Relax and enjoy the unfolding. You are enough. Make this moment to be enough. Feel the love in your heart. Start with yourself. Second by second. It is the foundation of a happy and fulfilled life. You are enough right now.

Gary King is speaking next in the UK on Wednesday the 29th May at the Yes Group London.
